This locally grown wool is a natural shade of sepia brown/gray from the Montadale sheep. This breed was developed for the dual purpose of meat and fiber in the 1930s.
4 ounce worsted weight skein, 240+ mill spun yarn was raised with a love of the fiber arts in mind by a local, retired shepherdess and fiber artist. She created beautiful knit, crochet, woven, and felted items for many fiber festivals.
